County Residents, get your woodpiles ready – the free Curbside Chipper Program is now open for the 2022 season!
Be sure to read the Chipper Program Guidelines before applying online.
In the event of a wildfire, having 100 feet or more of defensible space can help save homes. The free chipper service can help residents dispose of woody debris and assist in creating beautiful, healthy, and “firewise” landscapes around homes and on roadsides.
To learn more about the program guidelines and how to apply, property owners in the unincorporated Sonoma County should visit Permit Sonoma’s Curbside Chipper Program webpage.
Or contact the Fire Prevention team at Chipper@sonoma-county.org.
